Civil Engineer
Qualified candidates will have a California Engineer in Training Certificate, a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field, an interest in residential, commercial, and municipal site development design and related infrastructure; and demonstrated abilities to work well in a team environment, meet deadlines, and work under moderate supervision. Extensive experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office is required. Position is onsite at our office located in Soquel, CA.
Typical projects include feasibility studies; roadway and infrastructure design; analysis and design of grading, storm drainage, storm detention/retention, water systems, and sanitary sewer systems; erosion control plans; permit processing; constructability analysis; quantities and cost estimates; bid document preparation; and project coordination/administration.

-OE3 Apprenticeship Program: Candidates must apply and be accepted into the OE3 Apprenticeship Program. This program typically includes a combination of classroom instruction and on-the-job training.

Land Surveyor
Independently applies extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. Uses advanced techniques in the modification or extension of theories and practices of sciences and disciplines to complete assignments. Works on a major project or several projects of moderate scope with complex features. Reviews complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance. Develops new techniques and/or improved processes, materials, or products. Assists upper level management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor. Supervises all staff necessary to complete assignments. Reviews and approves scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments. Prepares proposals to provide professional services or obtain funding for projects or programs. Receives supervision and guidance relating to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters. Receives direction on unusual conditions and developments. Possesses advanced oral and written communication skills. Represents the organization in communications and conferences pertaining to broad-aspects of assignments.
